Welcome to The Lawrence of Arabia Hotel

The Lawrence of Arabia Hotel, nestled at 116 Esplanade, Weymouth, offers visitors a unique blend of character and comfort. With an impressive rating of 4.4, this beautiful art deco hotel not only pays homage to TE Lawrence but also welcomes guests with warmth and hospitality that feels almost like home.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by Theresa and Richard, who have transformed this hotel into a charming retreat. Their dedication to service and attention to detail shine through, creating an atmosphere where every visitor feels special. Andy Gibney, a loyal guest, attests to this sentiment, referring to the hotel as his “favourite hotel in the world.” He praises the stunning sea views from his room, despite noting some road noise—a mere triviality in the grand experience of a stay here.

The Seven Pillars breakfast, named after Lawrence's famed work, is a culinary delight that promises to fuel visitors for their day of exploration. It’s no wonder guests rave about its generous portions and perfect cooking. Colin, another satisfied guest, remarks on the thematic rooms, including the enchanting “Queen of the Desert,” which adds layers of personality and charm to the hotel’s ambiance. Each corner tells a story, echoing the legacy of one of history's most fascinating figures.

The hotel itself stands as an ode to TE Lawrence, featuring a mini museum with genuine artifacts that enhance the immersive experience. Moreover, the breathtaking views of the sea that permeate through the window frames serve as a serene backdrop, perfect for reflective moments and relaxation. Upcycle Interiors Ltd perfectly captures the essence of the hotel by highlighting its charm, character, and the friendliness of the staff.

Guests are ideally positioned to explore the surrounding area with Weymouth Beach, Durdle Door, and Nothe Fort just a short distance away. Set out for a leisurely stroll along the South West Coast Path, or embark on a coastal adventure to discover the stunning Jurassic Coast—both options are easily accessible from the hotel’s doorstep.

In summary, The Lawrence of Arabia Hotel stands out as more than just a place to rest; it is an experience steeped in history and personalized service. For those seeking a hotel that balances the warmth of home with the intrigue of a legendary past, this charming establishment is undoubtedly a top choice.

My favourite hotel in the world. I confess to being a Lawrence admirer so this hotel was winning before I got there. However, Theresa and Richard go beyond customer service and were fantastic hosts. Beware the Seven Pillars breakfast. It's enormous and cooked to perfection. My room overlooked the Esplanade and has the best sea views. There is road noise, but it didn't bother me. Just be aware if you want a quiet room. I've stayed in many hotels, but none that suited me so much. If you want the ideal Lawrence hotel, this is it. Packed full of information and the lounge is made up to evoke that Arabian feel.

Theresa and Richard made us extremely welcome for our two night stay. They have achieved miracles in the relatively short time they have managed the hotel, transforming it into a beautiful art deco hotel, paying homage to the memory of TE Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia). It is still a work in progress, but our room, Queen of the Desert, and the guest lounge, like all of the other rooms, are themed, and thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. Theresa really has an eye for colour and design. Thresa and Richard's passion, and knowledge about all things connected to TE Lawrence is second to none. If you are interested in history, and want to stay in a lovely hotel situated on the esplanade, overlooking the sea, and conveniently placed near to a wide range of excellent eateries, this is the perfect place to stay. Our Arab breakfast was as much a voyage of discovery, as an amazing memorable experience. Thank you so much Theresa and Richard for your hospitality, in the true Arab tradition. We hope to return again.
